The National Institute of Justice currently has a Comprehensive School Safety Initiative grant opportunity available (https://nij.gov/funding/documents/solicitations/NIJ-2018-14140.pdf). The projects of particular interest to the National Institute of Justice include:
- School Shootings,
- School Resource Officers,
- School Discipline and School Coordination with the Criminal Justice System,
- Disinvestment in Ineffective School Safety Programs,
- Bullying and Cyberbullying Intervention and Prevention,
- School Safety in Non-Classroom Settings,
- and Implementation and Translation of School Safety Research.
