The Vermont School Safety Center in collaboration with the Agency of Education, Department of Public Safety and the Vermont School Crisis Planning Team are excited to announce (3) more opportunities to attend the virtual (8) hour Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management Training. This training will be taking place on August 18th, September 27th and October 12th. LINKS TO REGISTER WILL BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY.
This virtual training introduces the concept of threat assessment and includes guidance and resources for forming and implementing a team in your school or district. This one-day (awareness level) course also teaches participants how to assess threats and other disturbing behavior, and take steps to reduce risk and prevent harm.

• District leadership / School board
• School administration

• Special education personnel
• SROs / School security specialists
• Local, county and state law enforcement

This training is being provided by our friends at SIGMA Threat Management along with Dr. Marisa Randazzo and her colleagues. There is no charge to attend this training. This training is made possible by a grant awarded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA).
